For the uninitiated, can you tell me:

-if doing this modification will negate the manufacturer warranty? I suspect it will along with any other non-OEM parts modified or swapped out. Is that correct?
-the approximate cost (parts and installation), for those who might want the extra HP/torque.

My only "sports car" was a BMW M3 Cabriolet, which I didn't alter and didn't track very much, so this is all new to me.

Without a tune, wondering if this will cause a check engine light? Looking to add headers, exhaust and a new Intake for an all NA upgrade.

Spend the extra and get a street tune to be sure. JMO

Ditto, if you are willing to lay out some cash for the hardware, look after the software too. There is a good chance of fouling plugs without a tune.
