Just Trying to Protect My Ride...

I always park everything I own far from everyone and then watch people drive around for 10 minutes looking for an optimum parking spot near the store (etc.) as I'm already shopping! LOL
Always park at the farthest end of the lot. It saves you car and the walk is good for you.

Yeah that works but sometimes you get the yahoo that decides in the whole empty parking lot they will still park beside your car which you parked at the far end of the lot on purpose.

Parking where you park Jack you run the risk of someone rounding the corner misjudging the clearance and taking out your front or rear corner of your car (seen it happen a few times at the mall usually with someone driving a big SUV/truck). I try to find the end spot of a row of parking spaces with a curb at 1 end and get close to it as possible (without curbing the wheels). That usually leaves decent space on the other side ALA whoever parks next to you puts their vehicle in the spot properly.

Parking spots has shrunk over the years but now with mostly SUV's out there it's a tight fit in most lots, a widebody Vette has it tough too.

I look forward to your expanded commentary on your podcast...

The end stalls are always taken upon arrival and I wish everyone was this kind
for allowing this ideal amount of extra space needed for parking the Hummer
in the next stall ... Thanks. ;)

I have to laugh, we were going into Costco in peterborough and there is a parking lot to the right as you get off the main road, anyhow this guy in front of me was in a loaded up pickup. He decided to take the first spot with a curb on the driver's side and decided to go past and back in. We'll the spot was far too narrow and once parked his wife could not get out , so over he comes until he is now scraping his nice wheels against the curb, still not enough and forward, now the line is backing up to the light. His movements now were quite agressive - I'm gonna park here no matter what .... well the truck now bounced up over the curb, now parked on the lawn drivers side and passengers side with about 5 feet between it and the next car. There had to be 15 empty spots 10 cars down... just hillarious... lol
