Greetings, My wife and I have bought our first Vette and the project begins. It’s a 1976 red corvette. The previous owner was misinfomed about the vehicle being numbers matching and after digging I have discovered the engine numbers don’t match the VIN production number :-(. Onward we will go. I’m wondering if anyone can help me interpret the engine block numbers? I think I have some of them figured out but would appreciate any help. Here is what I have so far ..

Engine numbers

First number is “K1122C8Z” “K” means St. Catherines, Ontario is the engine assembly plant, “1122” means it was assembled on Nov 22nd, “C8Z” is the Engine suffix code ?? I have found nothing on this .. help??
1A1128390 I have nothing on this either

Any help or direction on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Kevin
