I highly doubt there's any inventory anywhere. Not sure why this is being questioned.
All new Vettes are sold orders and automatically populated on Trader etc but are definitely sold units.

Yes and no. They were built as sold orders, but if a buyer backs out and no one on the dealers list wants the car they are free to sell it since technically it's their car until the buyer signs on the dotted line.

I agree it's rare. And that was for an honest dealer. No dealer is forced to let someone on their list have it. They could easily sell it from inventory if they wanted to.
