Well my friends it is upon us.....The time of cold nights and limited traction LOL. Summer and maximum grip are oooover! I was out tonight and was thinking just how poor my traction was compared to a few weeks ago. So if the right foot is feeling heavy remember, she's not going to stick the same in these 10 degree temps in the evening and early morning. Drive safe everyone...and crush the right pedal from time to time : )

I'll admit cold temperatures out west have me a bit on edge. Planning to head south soon and suspect we will start out on some very cold roads. Going to try weather mode and hope the tires warm up quickly at freeway speeds. When we were at spring Mountain last December we had some very cold mornings but the instructors insured us tires would be nice and warm after one lap and the GS I was in handled great in track mode which gives me a bit more comfort about driving my car on a cold road.

Was out yesterday. Still hitting the upper teens so it will become a challenge to run top down. Luckily my coat (see my B'day congrats) is large enough to wear a sweater underneath. Plus I just bought a C7 toque (matches the convert black top) to avoid brain freeze.
Another three weeks appox to hibernation.
Will try to get some nice autumn colour pics to post. Still 90% green although a few trees have gone to vivid red.

Someone turned the "Winter" Button to the "10 mark" this week in YYC. :bawling:
It's now dialed back to around the "5 mark" for the end of the week but back to highs of -1C next week .
Thank God I took advantage of a one day only opportunity last week for Dealership drop-in Mobil 1 on both C7s.
One is parked now  and one is prepared for a A&W egger run :Shifty: if there is just one more
Weekend Morning in October that will allow me to do it :coldfeet:
The only thing I get to do is check out Tire Rack and seeing if Costco can do a supply
only for a set of A/S 3+ or A/S 3+ZP. :bored:
It's with hope that I can buy :greedy: these "Hush Puppies" and install them & be set for driving next fall ...

It is just over a year ago now that I drove to Red Deer in -5C for the start of the Drumheller Weekend Cruise.
The tires handled it rather well ... but the Driver on the other hand ...
