Car
none right now.
Changed the oil this morning and took her for a little drive after. Felt good to have the old C3 out on the road again. Got to be careful with the throttle exiting turns until the road warms up some more! These tires don't stick to cold pavement. We need some rain to wash the roads down as there's still quite a bit of grit around. Put it back in the garage as I promised I'd get some other jobs done around the house. But it was fun to be out in it again! Lot's of stares as I drove by! Probably thought I was nuts as there is still some snow around. :D

Great feeling isn't it.........especially after the winter you have had.
I got my first little boot in this week also, but like you say...we really need some rain to clean the roads off, and it looks like we are going to get it over the next few days....and temps are going up also.... finally, it looks like spring is coming.

Good for you Greg- really good feeling isn't it and good for what ails ya ... :D

The weather in the next couple weeks should be progressively nicer and lots of rain to clean things up.

Sounds like she's running well and feels good and is in tip top shape for a great summer.
Nice fresh oil helps it run well too.....something like when you clean the car it seems to run great.......:D:D

Can't wait to see that baby again - You've been busy with the interior and the wheels......

Yes it was a great feeling fellas. Around supper time we actually had some snow flakes in the air. It's turned to rain now. Weird weather today; sunny and 9C around 3pm and snowing by 6pm and now rain.

Car ran great today. I put a bottle of EOS in with the oil change. Next is getting that radio and new speakers wired up, fixing the tach and then putting on a coat of Rejex when it arrives. I also have a curve kit coming for the distributor. Lot's of little jobs to do. I want the car looking good for the Coping event. All a labour of love though. :D

PS. In my excitement of getting the car out I forgot to lower the air pressure in the tires; might account for some of the lack of traction.

Jealous! Good for you. At least I finished installing the brakes and rotors today, re installed the wheels.....but I noticed a nail head in one! Pressure was still up though. If all goes well, looking good for next weekend!

LOL, Greg, I've done that b4 -- and it gets your attention real quick....:D

Damn it's been years since messing with a "curve kit"..... I miss that kind of tinkering....What are you setting initial and total advance at? (my guess would be about 6* & 34* total.-- and all in by 2500).

Have fun.

The original timing for my L48 is 6* initial plus 22* mechanical for a total of 28* all in by 4200. I'm aiming for 34* all in by 2800 to 3000. Depending on how much wear is in the old distributor, initial should settle in around 12* but we'll see how it runs from there. Trying to keep the detonation monster away but improve performance. With 8.5:1 compression I should have some room to play.
