I’ve owned Corvettes since 1987 and this happens with every new model that comes out - although the amount over MSRP is much higher on the C8 than other years that I remember. 2001 Z06’s we’re going for $10k - $15k over MSRP. I got a 2002 at MSRP with no prior relationship with the dealer. My opinion is that by Spring no one is going to pay more than $5k over MSRP when they can get one in 5 or 6 months via factory order. By the fall, used will be selling below MSRP.
