Is the front lift kit worth the money

I don't have Z51 and my clearance is tiny bit less than 3 inches.
There is a dip in the road on one concession that I scrape without the lift. I also use it to get on my hoist. To me it's worth the money.
If you can go sideways over things then perhaps you don't need it. The air dam or whatever it is that scrapes is likely less than the front lift but it's up to you. Buy the lift or by the air dam every few years.

My 5 year old air dam is rubber that clears the ground at 2.7 inches. I have scraped it numerous times and even folded it completely up when an errant curb jumped into my path. There is no sign of damage and nary even a scuff on it. Unless the C8 dam is a harder, less flexible material, damaging it is hard to do.

I don't have front lift and so far have not required it.
My C8 dam with Z51 is higher than my C6 Z06 by about 1/2". So I've learned to be careful.
I am able to clear the lift ramps by 1/4" so it is close.
The front cameras are very helpful when parking where there is a curb.
Having said that I think it is worth the $2000 and would probably
order it next time. But if you're on a budget one can live without it.

I don’t have it and will not buy it on my next C8. Pay attention to where you drive and you will know all areas to avoid. That being said if money is no object then load that C8 up with all the toys. I went base car this time to avoid as many items as possible from breaking down in the future. Maybe I am cheap also!

I agree withC8Bluray.... I have the lift as well on my Z51 And would get it again. The GPS tracking for the speed bumps is great as Burlington keeps putting speed bumps everywhere. 4 speed bumps just to get to my house......

My lift is raised about 2.5 inches at the entry side...do you guys think I will need the front lift to clear it?

I live two hours north of Toronto, where I will likely never need the lift. However, I have a condo in the west end of Toronto that I am at maybe one or two nights a month, and the condo garage has quite an incline. I found out the C8 approach angles and measured the angle of the ramps into and out of the condo garage. They were steep enough to warrant the front lift. I am sure there will be other locations where I need it, but the condo ramps justify having it. I'll find out when my car arrives in Feb or Mar.

Front end lift was a box that I had to check.

My C6 Z06 wasn't that low by any stretch of the imagination, but it made me cringe every time I backed into my driveway and heard the dreaded scraping noise.

Even with the C8 lowered an inch, I'll never have to worry about a speed bump or driveway again. And as others have mentioned, it's not something you can add down the road. I would rather live with the regret of spending an extra $1000 bucks upfront, than the regret of doing damage to my front lip.

Approach Angles- Base car no E60 11.8 degrees. Base with E60 14.2 degrees.
If you can avoid speed bumps, underground garage parking and sloped driveways/ramps you may not need it.
I have it because I don't want to scrape and would order it again. The fact it remembers and automatically raises
reduces the risk of scraping in the event you forget to hit the button.

I’m currently debating getting this option as well. My driveway has a slight incline & I’m trying to determine if the C8 will be able to clear it without scrapping... what’s the best method to measure this out? I was thinking of using a stud cut to the length of the nose & then putting some spacers underneath to raise it the appropriate height. I’m going to look like an idiot to the neighbours unless there’s a better way ?

Can you make a template and measure the angle of your driveway? I gave the approach angles in my last post to help those that were not sure if they would scape or not.

There is an air dam under the front of the car that sits about 3 inches off the ground at the place I can measure. I use a 2x4 in the garage to tell us where to stop and I can't put anything higher than that there without it hitting that air dam (or whatever you call it.) I'm a non z51 so there is no splitter.
I tried 2 2x4's (3 inches) and it hit that about a foot in from the outside where I measured, so it likely is lower further in.
