It seems awfully quiet on the Corvette (SR, Z06, and E-Ray) side of things. Has the excitement died down or is it just because it’s February? What/where is the first thing/place you are going to do/go when the weather finally turns?

We're now in "the doldrums" due to the time of year. Then combine that with the ++ fewer Corvette allocations coming to Canada for some time now, the next-to-no Z06 allocations, plus we're into the "can't order yet" E-Ray zone but I suspect even when we start getting E-Ray allocations in Canada, it'll follow the same pattern as the Z06 and we'll see very few (sigh).

My first "trip" come March, will be to take my 2023 Stingray into my dealer to install things that never came with the car, which as of 2 days ago, are all waiting there now. After that it's off to Ron Fellows in mid-April, then back home to daily drive my C8 and hopefully attend a couple of Corvette gatherings in the summer.

There has not been much corvette news recently. Canadian Stingray allocations for Feb are low. As for Z06, productions has stopped with only 2 being built in the month of Feb so far. E-Ray is still 1 year away from being delivered. I can't bring myself to participate in threads regarding PPF or front licence plates.

Most exciting auto news of Feb so far is the facelifted 2024 BMW X5 which will retain its crown as the best mid size luxury SUV on the market.

How about what is the best oil? Or the fastest colour? Or my personal favourite, why is an auto so much better than a manual?

I’ll bite. The best oil is what is recommended by the manufacturer. Do you really have to ask which is the fastest colour? As far as auto being better than manual, it’s not but we don’t have a choice.

The fastest colour is the colour of my Mazdaspeed6 “velocity red”
