Just got the 2024 htc 3LT and every time I’m using the rear view mirror I feel like I need to focus a second cause it’s so damn close to my face. Anyone else feel that way? My rx350 and bmw the mirror is more then a ft away from my face lol

I have tried but turning it off shows me my high wing spoiler and I can’t see beyond it. The camera actually has the right angle but it’s just close to the face. Compared to the position of my other cars, I think it’s probably 6 inches closer in comparison. Guess there goes the use for the rear view mirror lolAre you using the camera feature? If so, that's the reason. When you look in a normal mirror, your eyes aren't focusing on the mirror, they're focusing on the total distance from your eyes to the mirror to the object behind you. But when you're using it as a screen, your eyes have to focus on the screen, not the object behind you. I don't think the mirror is really any closer to you than on most other cars, but the virtual image is much closer than when using a regular mirror. This situation is true with all cars that have a video screen for the rear view. Assuming you are using the camera image, try switching it off and see if you still notice the problem
Yep, it took me several months to get used to the eye focus issue. Don't even notice the issue now although I do notice the adjustment every spring on the first drive or two. Drove a friends GM SUV with the camera mirror and had the same issue.Just got the 2024 htc 3LT and every time I’m using the rear view mirror I feel like I need to focus a second cause it’s so damn close to my face. It's not the physical distance, it's that you're looking at a screen instead of a mirror. Even it were 6 inches further away it would still seem very close compared to cars with a regular mirror. But keep using it. You'll get used to it. It took me a little while, but gives me no problem now.I have tried but turning it off shows me my high wing spoiler and I can’t see beyond it. I have sensitive eyes to screens so maybe that’s it. Maybe when this weather clears out and I’m taking the car out more I’ll adjust better to it.It's not the physical distance, it's that you're looking at a screen instead of a mirror.
