Is Heat the Problem?

I installed a new 383 (with SCAT internals), a ProCharger supercharger and a Sniper EFI into my Corvette. When driving at lower speeds in the city with lots of stops (starting and stopping the engine), the car will suddenly die. Sometimes the car will restart immediately with several coughs and sputtering. There is always a strong smell of gasoline accompanying this. If I let the car sit for 10 minutes, it will restart again and continue. It never does this during highway driving. I am trying to determine if the issue is (something overheating-but not the radiator/coolant as the temps are usually pretty low); is it an ignition issue? Is it a Sniper issue? Is it an O2 sensor? A buddy suggested the fuel lines might be heating up and causing these problems. Any ideas or fixes greatly appreciated!
