Question Intake manifold

I'm in the process of finding a nice 1980 Corvette with thr L82 , my plan is install a Trickflow 500hp Super 23 Top end kit . I'm staying with the QJet and would like to upgrade the intake manifold mainly just for weight savings to an aluminum one. Any advice ? I'm looking at the Edelbrock performer air gap dual plane . Any recommendations?

Welcome to the forum! I can't help you much, but I had a Trickflow heads and cam package installed on my Camaro and loved it!

It was a 2000 Camaro. It was supposed to be 500HP if I used an LS6 intake, but I didn't bother. My Camaro was a far cry from your C3, but I mentioned it because Trickflow makes some great products.

Cool yeah the stock L82 is only 200ish hp 2 bolt mains. But it does come stock with forged crank and Rods so it should hold up okay .Full crate motor prices have gone crazy

BTW, Does Trickflow recommend an intake for their package? If so you might consider it. They recommended an intake and a throttle body for my package. I actually had the parts, but I didn't bother with either.

I'll have to contact them , there is no recommendation on the Summit site .
