i get a message that says i have insufficient privileges to post in events - how come ???
insufficient privileges ?

Events are posted through the Events page (click on Events at the top) not directly into the forum. Right now the events page has an issue that I'm working on resolving should hopefully be fixed this weekend.
And the issue I spoke of is fixed now I hope. Create an event via the Events calendar page.
