Hi everyone
My C7 rolled 12,000 km's and the other day I started the car and put in in reverse and got nothing but a black screen. It stayed black when I shifted to 1st. I restarted the car and the screen turned on and was scrambled. Since then it has done it one other time, Anyone else had this issue? I heard tell of it in the very early 14's.

6K km on mine, no issues. Yes, there was an issue with the early '14s, but I believe there was a software fix to address it.

A few of the guys on the U.S forums have reported a similar issue, one problem found common was a loose harness/connection the other was just a bad screen, the third I remember reading was a software flash/update req'd. A number of screens have been reported as replaced. So sounds like a few issues surround these screens.

Yes it must not have anything to do with the timing of the production run as both of our cars were built the last week of the 2014 model (mine and C7driver's). I just hope my dash does not need to be ripped apart.

Man I hope you can get this sorted out. The thought of ripping the dash apart would be unnerving at best.

Seriously good luck.

Haven't had any issues with mine yet. If it happens again I would take it in. So far I haven't had any issues with my car but I have just 9k on it. I did take out the extended warranty on it as I expect I will have it for some time.

Ripping a dash out isn't such a big deal, had a Chrysler 300 they did that for to get at the evaporator and it was fine when they put it all back. My kid had a Buick Lesabre that I gave him to drive to school in high school , he took auto mechanics, come home one day and it's dash is sitting on my garage floor. He got it back in no problem, he was only 17.
