This is my business partners 1969 ZL1 recreation. Since there were only 2 known to have been built, getting a real one is a pipe dream. Built by a very well known Corvette guy from the West coast. George McNicholl, he published a couple of how to books on restoring Corvettes. He set out to prove he could build a "better" ZL1 than the factory with this "restomod". We think he succeeded with this monster. He started with a wrecked 1969 big block car so he would have a big block VIN. The car was rebuilt in the most meticulous nut and bolt restoration I have ever seen. He documented the entire build right down to the gaskets and glue. He dropped in a virgin aluminum Keith Black 540 (virtually impossible to replace now) pushing 650 hp. We were lucky enough to buy it from the estate along with a 1923 T-bucket with a complete Corvette powertrain as well.

One of my favorite all time corvettes: beautiful man!!! Thank you for sharing. Probably better than the original - fit and finish, I am sure.
