I wonder if there's an auto wrecker with a focus on corvettes in your area, who might have a 1984 that was rear-ended so the front instrument panel is still AOK.

Batee.com rebuilds them. You could check out YouTube videos of how to do it yourself and save a bunch of money. They sell their parts on eBay I believe.
