Lead time on order and actually receive in Canada is 8-12 months.

I want a 2014 Triple-Black Z51 Convertible, manual Transmission, 2LT.
Options wanted:
Z51
2LT
UY4 Nav system
Q7E Chrome Wheels
FE4 Magnetic ride (includes Perf Traction mgmt)
NPP Dual mode exhaust

Using the GM Canada "Build a Car" facility, this prices out at $74310 CDN.
Using the GM USA "Build a Car" facility, this prices out at $69785 US.

Now, I really want this car.... but I'm not waiting 12 months.
So how can I get it ?

I can ask a US dealer to get it for me, then after they get it, they can register it (it now has one owner), then they can sell it to me (as used). This way we can get around the GM stupidity about not selling it to anyone outside the US. Maybe ????

Oh, and I have full cash.
Of course, any price under MSRP is also appreciated.

So... any dealers, or takers, or ????
Does anyone have any suggestions ?

PM me, if you want to keep things quiet.

Thanks

Simple...find a BC/GM dealer with allocation or keep an eye on autotrader.ca...money talks

Revenberg - Windsor ... 2 imported black 3LT Z51 verts in the showroom

these cars are everywhere for sale… I don't get all this "I can't find one"???? really?
have you checked throughout canada? ebay? kijiji? have a looksie… cheers!

Well, I have checked Kijiji, eBay, and every other Forsale place I know of.
Nothing for what I want.
Yes, I am particular, but if I'm going to get a new car, I want it EXACTLY as I want it.
I have checked with several GM dealers here in the lower mainland;
none have any allocations left for 2014... only for 2015... which means 8-12 months....
they can't really say.

This is not my first time buying... I have owned 7 Corvettes since 1980.
(I still have my wife's '67 triple black convertible and my '07 triple black convertible)
(So the '07 is / will be for sale).
Triple black Z51, manual, LG Motorsports GT2 Coil-overs, Pfadt sway bars,
Corsa Indy mufflers, Airaid intake, Billet grill, Exhaust filler plate,
Z06 high splash guards, full-length rear spoiler, LG Motorsports world challenge wheels, Toyo R888 tires,
(I still have the original wheels and tires), BP Bolt-in rollbar.
only 10,000 miles (16,000 km) on the car (we don't drive it much).
Replaced flywheel and clutch slave cylinder less than 1000 miles ago.

I have bought 6 cars out of the US (much cheaper),
so I do know where to look.
I bought my 2000 triple black convertible new from a dealer out here....
ordered it in April of 1999, got the car in August 1999.

I just don't want to wait 8 months or more for another one.

My wife and I both autocross, and this will be our new Autocross beauty.
Therefore you can understand why I want the manual transmission, the Z51 suspension,
and the FE4 magnetic ride control.

As Riley says, if anyone can provide me with a link for the vehicle I want, please do so.

Thanks

Scott..... Nope... Black is what I want. I have owned/do own 8 black cars, we still have 4 black cars in our garage.

Steamer.... I already checked all those out....
They have no "in-stock" Z51 Black convertibles,
and 2 of the "In bound" ones are Black Z51, but both have black wheels.
And like you say, the biggest problem is to sell it to a non US person.
Getting it across the border is easy.

Hey, I can always wait till 2015, and get a used one from someone somewhere,
with everything I want.

We'll just keep on trying/looking.

Thanks

Well this has to be the biggest list of Corvettes I've ever seen. The trouble here of course would be getting one across the border. They even have one that's been built just the way I want mine, White and Red with auto and chrome wheels. Too bad!!!

Corvettes for Sale | Kerbeck Corvette New 2014 Corvette Inventory | Corvette Stingrays in Stock

Yeah, some of the large Corvette dealers in the US have HUGE allocations!! I believe Kerbeck had over 1,400 cars allocated to them. That is just nuts considering the largest Canadian dealer had around 20+/- if I remember correctly.

Pulling this thread a little off topic, but could you post some pics of your other rides?

And, I swore off black as it is so difficult to keep clean and clear of swirl marks, etc. As an expert in black paint, would you care to share in how you take care of this color?....Maybe in a new thread?

Best of luck with the search! Looking forward to hearing how it does in the autocross!
