After much deliberation, I think I have the answer. This C3 had never been driven in the snow before. The owner came to Town one day, got caught in an unexpected snowstorm and since he wants to be able to sell the car this spring as "never been driven in snow", he parked and tarped it....albeit tarped it poorly..... There. Watching all those forensic cop shows finally pays off.... :D

i think he read elf's old thread about driving his vette back from florida in the snow and thought he'd have a go at it himself but that's as far as he got. whadaya think steve ? sound plausible ?
I've always said Corvettes are living breathing things with feelings .Leaving a vett like that is like kicking a small dog and I felt sorry for the car .
The car's registration expired about 5 years ago .I suspect the car was left off prior to the last snow .If I knew who owned it I'd offer free storage in a warm comfy garage with other cars to talk to .
