Saw this on another forum and thought I would post it up here. Not sure how many modellers are on this forum but I know there are a few. Revell is reissuing this kit and apparently dealers are taking pre orders now.

Limited re-edition scale model!! Features functional steering, fully detailed V-8 engine and chassis, operational front lights, lots of chrome parts, rubber pulleys, ...

Hi Murray...
LINDBURG had some 1/8th scale models back in the day..
MONOGRAM marketed a whole series of 1/8 scale cars.
Bucket 'T', '32 Ford hot rod 'Big Deuce', etc.
They also had a whole series of Corvettes.. all coupes
'65, '78, '82 collector edition and an '85 coupe.
Others were an '85 Camaro IROC and a Jaguar XKE.
It would have been great to see some C5s or C6s get released.
It may be cost prohibitive these days.
Some of these get re-issued every few years.
REVELL and MONOGRAM merged a number of years ago.

Great kits... I've built a few and have others waiting to be done.

Graham, Eric would have a field day with that lot with his Rubik Cube Hammer.

I remember the Lindburg cars, they re released some of them last year. Big Deuce and T Monogram cars were always a dream when I was a kid but never had the funds. I have no recollection of the Corvettes at all, guess I was not paying attention.

hahaha.... I have learned my lesson Murray....Ever since trying to use scissors to make jigsaw puzzle pieces fit, I don't attempt those things that I know I don't have patience for anymore... Maybe someday after I retire I might start with one of those small snap together models.... The ones with the numbered (or colour coded) pieces....And only one way they will fit together.... And the explicit "insert tab A into slot B" directions...And a toll free number to call if you have assembly problems....You never know. I may even graduate to using glue ...maybe.... lol...

Eric, are you telling me the you are not supposed to use scissors on jig saw puzzles?:Banghead: The lessons we learn too late in life. Always wondered why the pictures never looks quite right when I proudly sat back to admire my creativity!

hahaha.... Murray.... Not many people know this but years ago after my dismay with jigsaw puzzles, I had a vision of what I thought would be a jig saw puzzle for the impatient like myself. I thought... hmmmm.... Self. You have struck upon a surefire invention that will make you a fortune. After all, everywhere you go... Libraries, Hospitals, Senior's facilities, etc. etc..., you see someone with a jigsaw puzzle and the look of frustration on their face. Especially when someone leans over them and says " that piece goes right there".... grrrrr....

So. A huge investment later, I was mass producing 500 piece puzzles with every piece being cut exactly the same. Voila`!....... A puzzle to end the frustration of searching forever for the one piece that would fit. They would all fit in every position..... Unfortunately, there was a fire at my production facility which destroyed my complete inventory. My investment was gone and surprisingly, no financial institution would back me for another production run. To this day though I am sure my invention would have been a hit.... Strangely enough, I never secured a patent and no one else ever stole my idea.... o_O
