Thinking about ordering a 3LT with either the natural dipped or red dipped interior. Is the glare really that bad?
I have the natural interior and yes, the beige stripes are very apparent. The entire dash in beige, in my opinion, would be extremely reflective and hard to see out of.Here's what just a little red on the dash looks like. Tan would be horrendous!

Btw that’s really fast on a single lane country road Murray! And you’re providing the proof! Here's what just a little red on the dash looks like. Tan would be horrendous!

My question is he downshifting to hit 5600rpm or upshifting to really get moving…The stop ahead sign probably answers my question…I recognize that road just north of Tijuana Mexico…..Btw that’s really fast on a single lane country road Murray! And you’re providing the proof!

It's the glare off the dash! It's really 1.21 KPHBtw that’s really fast on a single lane country road Murray! And you’re providing the proof!
Ya, Dats da ticket! It was a Tuesday. Mrs. Murray has the car for the day, according to the schedule...
There is a slant for the HUD to counteract the polarization effect with polarized sunglasses. I must say I didn't notice whether it helps with the reflection or not. Some say polarized glasses are the solution but others say they make the HUD difficult to see.
I've ordered the same interior colour. Good to know.Have adrenaline red in a 2LT with 2 tone GT 2 seating. No glare.
On sunny days… a polarized pair of sunglasses would be the simplest solution to any glare. The HUD is 100% visible with polarized glasses which is super awesome! The windshield glare is apparent with the red dipped interior, as evident on the YouTube videos where people were being driven in a C8 with that interior, just after it was released. The natural dipped (all tan) interior is worse because it's lighter. Below are some photos I took at last year's NCM Bash, sitting inside a C8 Z06 with the natural dipped interior. It was a sunny day but clouded over, as evident in the photos. The reflection would have been worse w/o any clouds. But I think that interior is beautiful, although my neighbour (a Corvette nut) thinks it's too yellow so as always it's a matter of preference. Some say polarized glasses are the solution but others say they make the HUD difficult to see. A good solution to the main problem (right in front of the driver) is the GM OEM dash section you can buy to replace the tan section directly in front of the steering wheel, in black with brown stitching to match the all natural interior. It's supposed to be an easy install and something I'd do if I bought the all natural interior. Having said that, I think the reflection poses a danger since it can obscure your peripheral vision of a pedestrian, cyclist, etc. when going fast, where reaction time is everything. Hope this helps.

Yes, polarized glasses definitely reduce any reflection and glare as well as being able to read the HUD still! On sunny days… a polarized pair of sunglasses would be the simplest solution to any glare. The HUD is 100% visible with polarized glasses which is super awesome!
I wouldn't say 100%. It is certainly visible, but the colours are diluted. On sunny days… a polarized pair of sunglasses would be the simplest solution to any glare. The HUD is 100% visible with polarized glasses which is super awesome!
