Am reverting to my childhood when I had the '78 anniversary edition in '78, just purchased a '79 C3 so I have something to do in my spare time. I've been reading for a bit here and really appreciate all the tips and knowledge that you offer us newbies. Good to be here!

Indeed a lot of us are reliving our childhood as you are and having a blast doing it too.

Whoo! Welcome to the forum! Hopefully that new rad will keep the coolant where it should be and your car running....cool...(for lack of a cooler word). As Colin said, post pics! Glad you can revert to your childhood, that sounds awesome!

'79 pics

Hi Guys- thanks for the welcomes- will post sone pics soon, and take some as we get the rad installed. The paint has lots of chips but it's original and in really good shape, so I'm going to touch the chips up and then smooth them with some paste I found for that. After that I'll take the clay bar and get things nice and smooth. Couple of coats of meguire's and we should be good. I found some great metal polish for the air cleaner etc to bring the chrome up. I've never worked on cars before (being a Harley guy) but am having a lot of fun on this project!
