Saw that about the ZR1
Wonder how many that will affect up here with the exchange rate and lux taxes. We get two lux taxes in QC., one fed & one Prov. And then I believe you also get to pay th eGouge & screw tax or harmonized tax plus our prov tax on top of taht.
Just wondering how many ZR1 allocations thee are for Canada and how many have stepped up to the plate to get their name on the list?

Being on a list(s) and taking possession of one may be two separate issues.
I am on a couple of lists already, and I if G.M. runs with this deviant for a few years, there may actually be a chance of getting a call.
However, I don't think I can justify trading in my E-Ray on a ZR1 based soley on performance (that I will never use).
If I were to keep the E-Ray, and buy the ZR1 as an investment, I personally can't see it growing that much in value to make sense.
A fully loaded ZR1 is showing as a whopping $340,000.00 (lux tax in, hst not in yet), so roughly $400,000.00+/- after taxes, ppf, and fuzzy dice.
Will it ever be worth the kind of money necessary to be called a 'wise investment'? I suppose anyone owning a previous edition would argue.
Having said all this, there are plenty of people out there with extremely deep pockets.
For this lot, I don't imagine G.M's decision will be a major concern.
