With a C8 Z51 going from a manufacturer top rated speed of 194 mph to 205 mph; it will be interesting to see what the Z06 and subsequent versions will do with any mods...especially the Zora. I wonder if the Zora chassis will be able to take much more torque, given its already touted 1,000 HP and 975 lb-ft of torque and whether the Zora will come out with a convertible version.
 
I'm curious about the Z06 and the 5.5 L flat plane DOH with a rpm of 8000+. Possibly a lighter car, less gadgets, more track car, maybe a quicker 0-60. Will GM modify the gears to compensate for the lower torque with the smaller displacement and what about mileage? I understand that the higher revving engine uses more fuel to get to the same output as the 6.2 L.
Interesting times ahead.
