Hey guys, new to the forum. I bought a c5 last year and noticed that the front tire was losing air slowly. I unmounted the tire and found out that it had a large crack in it that the previous owner tried to JB weld back together (failed miserably lol). I am looking for some help trying to locate a pair of these rims. They appear to be the stock C5 5 spoke rim, 17x8.5. Im trying to do it as cost effectively as possible as I have a list of mods I want to do this summer but on a budget (good luck I know). Any help or leads would be greatly appreciated. I am local to the Hamilton area.

Thank you!

It anyone plans on tracking their cars hard, it would be a good idea to use forged aluminum wheels versus cast. They are a lot stronger but expensive. Then again, so is the damage when the centre breaks away from the rest of the wheel and off the track you go. It's the same reason that cast pistons are replaced with forged in high performance engine applications. In my work career as a tool and die maker, I repaired a lot of broken aluminum equipment. Not my favourite material. Made a good living repairing the stuff though, so there are some advantages to working with it. I dare say that most problems with aluminum are due to misapplication of the different aluminum grades for the intended job and not stress relieving after welding.
I have a set of C6 wheels and tires from a 2008 that I could let go. 18 an 19 inch though. Polished Wheel 2.JPG

Try Wheel Wizards on Barton St.
If they dont have them, surely they know who does.

Good info 50th but the original poster hasn't been back to the forum for over 5 years so doubt he will see your post. There's a posting date at the top of each post for future reference.

Well, I'm going to pile onto an old post, put some spit shine on it and make it new again!

There was a guy locally to me selling a set of rims for under $600. I really liked those rims as they were really light. If they were 18's and 19's, I would have kept mine, but wanted something a bit bigger to modernize the car.
