Hi guys, I’m in the process of putting the vacuum hose kit I got from Zip into my 1975 without AC. Problem is, there seems to be an actuator missing at the top of my heater box.
I attached the vacuum diagram from willcox, which shows an actuator called “air door valve” with a black vacuum line going to it. This is the one I am missing. I also attached 2 pictures of this actuator that I managed to find on some forums. Finally, the last picture is my heater box, (green tape) which does not have the actuator on it.
My question is this: does anyone know why I don’t have this actuator? Before putting the heater box in the car, I rebuilt it with a kit from Zip, and to me it seems as though there is nothing for the actuator to “actuate” in that spot.
Any help at all is really appreciated, I’ve been scratching my head for a few days now, and I’m not sure how I can complete the assembly of these vacuum hoses without it. Thank you!
