Well, it's officially spring here as we finally broke 20 degrees yesterday.
I've had a fairly sucky year so far, but May 1st brought about some changes, and I'm liking the way things are going so far.
On Monday, I got an e-mail from the school that I had applied to get our son into for this fall, and he got accepted.
On Tuesday, I went and paid up and assured that things are done so we are very excited about that.
On Wednesday, my dad came to visit, and we haven't seen him since last summer. It was great to see him again, and watching him and the boy interact was great! His timing was perfect as I got the call to pick up the Trailblazer, so he took me into town so that I could pick it up before the wife got home so that she could be surprised. So far its running good, and feels pretty strong. I let the old man take it for a short drive, and he was impressed. It was also the neatest feeling to be the passenger, and feel that pull against your neck. As a driver, you always anticipate the acceleration, but as a passenger it is really different.
Thursday I got the Vette put back together and ready to go for the Ponoka meet on Saturday.
No offense intended to any religious beliefs, but THIS is New Years to me. It's looking good so far!
