Hello from Ottawa! I am a recent first-time Corvette owner. In late April my wife and I flew to Edmonton and picked up our lightly-used (30,000 kms) 2008 C6 coupe. It is a 3LT Z51 well-equipped with pretty much everything except navigation and the magnetic ride but has the entertaining dual-mode NPP exhaust. It is the first manual transmission car I have ever owned in 40 years of driving and shifts beautifully.
After getting the car we drove to Jasper and then on to Banff, Drumheller, Winnipeg, Thunder Bay, Deep River and home, putting on more mileage in one week than the previous owner had annually! The photo shows the car at the Athabaska Glacier on the Icefields Parkway in Alberta.
I have since driven the car to a cycling event in Washington, DC as well as participating in various events of the Capital Corvette Club. We will be going to Carlisle later this month for the big event there.
So far the car has surpassed most of my expectations and I am looking forward to years of driving and lots of excellent road trips ahead. My wife is already keen on a C7 but I think we can wait a while for that!
