Hello all fellow CCF members. My name is Ziggy and I am Edmonton born and raised. I was fortunate enough to have met so many great members at the Lake Louise cruise last weekend. Out of all the clubs and sites I have seen to date, this one is by far the friendliest group of people I have had the pleasure of meeting and chatting with yet. My first Corvette was a 1970 Bridgehampton Blue 454 numbers matching coupe I purchased on eBay from Arkansas 6 years ago this April as my reward for quitting smoking. This has been my dream car since I was 7 years old. I have been busy for the last 5 years doing a complete nut and bolt restoration, and am happy to say it should be ready for the road and shows later this summer if all goes well. In September of 2014 I decided to purchase a nice new cruiser that I did not have to work on for a change, which is my 2015 Laguna Blue Z51 2LT vert with Carbon Flash stripes, NPP and active ride. I am happy to say I currently have close to 14000 Km on it and the smile has never gone away every time I drive it. Just over 2 years ago I went for the Ron Fellows course in Nevada and it has changed the way I drive my 2015. I believe this is enough blah, blah about me. Thank you for the chance to join your forum and I look forward to meeting and chatting with many more members in the future. Ziggy (turbozig)

Any help with posting pictures from my phone would be appreciated.
Welcome TurboZig.
We want to see pictures of both your cars.
A C3 restoration can be quite an undertaking.

Take care
Graham

Graham, I have restored many cars in my life so far, but none have been as tough as the 70 C3 has been. Any help with posting pictures from my phone would be appreciated.

Here are a few pics of the 15'. I will get some of the 70' on soon.

Welcome and a big Hello "turbozig". Awesome of you to put your footprints in this forum.
It was great Crusin' to Louise with you last weekend - we found something that people from Edmonton (Blue) and Calgary (Red) can do without Rival - didn't we?
Ya we sure did !

(and yes we do have many Corvette Blue down her too - HI MikeysZ06 - but the no-rival point is valid)
(and of course there is awesome Corvette Red up there - HI Brent!)

Sorry man you have one too many toys, I will be around tomorrow to pickup one or the other. Your choice.

Beautiful car(s).

Hmmmmm..... Careful Murray...There's a saying here in the West... "You can have my gun when you pry it from my cold, dead fingers"... Got a feeling in this case that might apply to Corvettes too.... :Pistolsmiley:;)

As promised, here are a couple of my 70 LS5 coupe. These photos were taken just before the restoration began 4 1/2 years ago.
It was nice meeting you and Cindy on that LL trip Ziggy. Your 70 is indeed a dream car! You should post the engine picture you showed me.... I'm still thinking about that one!

Welcome and greetings from the coast Ziggy!! Great intro... Great taste in vettes! Your C3 is an amazing labour of love. A beauty! Couldn't agree more with you about the C7s... I love mine to pieces. Pure enjoyment, comfort and absolutely no worries. Your only dilema now will be which one to take outta the garage...

Thank you Brent, great meeting Debbie and yourself as well. I will get some more photos of the 70 build on here soon. Happy motoring and save the wave!

Thank you OneTrueChevyGirl. I appreciate the kind words. The 70 has been a battle to get to this point. I have had to make many sacrifices for both rides, but they have been absolutely worth it. I would love to see your Vettes some day on the coast. I am heading out to the Mission old time drags this August, maybe we can get together and meet you both sometime.

Here are a few of the more memorable moments of the restoration. I have over a thousand pics of the process, so it is hard to choose which ones to post.
