Hello Everyone,

I have recently been fortunate enough to purchase a new 2024 C8, torch red Stingray coupe (2LT). I have joined the forum to learn from you and engage in discussions about our cars. For me, it is a dream come true and I am looking forward to many years of caring for and enjoying my Corvette.

Welcome and congrats on your new car. Ontario's a big place, where are you from and who did you get your car from?

Presently live in Brampton, ON and purchased the car from Gateway Chevrolet. It was a unit that someone else ordered and their financing did not come through and the car was not yet added to the Chevrolet inventory. The right time in the right place thing:) It had about 90 % of the things I wanted so I went for it. Did not need to order and wait for x number of months for one to arrive. Plus, I could take advantage of the 5.49% financing on 2024-s, as opposed to order one as a 2025 and pay the likely higher interest rate on it. It is a 2LT unit, torch red, with red seats and seatbelts, partially red bits on the dashboard, red stitching on the steering wheel, dashboard and doors, performance exhaust, the ~$1,800 option forged grey wheels with the red margins and engine red brake calipers. I was not happy about the brake calipers not being torch red, until I realized that I can/will change the engine cover to engine red and it will match the calipers at that point. I would have loved a small spoiler on the back end, but did not have it. Initially I was looking for a stick-on spoiler, but now I think that I actually like the clean look of the back end without one. I would have liked to get the Z51 package, but I do not regret it, as I will never track or race the car, and I just do not need the extra go fast bits. It is the same engine and with the performance exhaust, the same HP, so it is all good. The standard springs were still made for a Corvette and they are fine for me.

I added PPF to the whole front end, A pillars and the leading edge of the roof, bottom of the doors, rocker panels, door sills and around the side intakes to protect from gravel. Paint correction and ceramic on the rest of the car.

So Gateway ordered the Edge red (darker) brake calipers J6N instead of the bright red (torch red) brake calipers J6F that would have matched the car?
My dealer did the same thing on the 2020 as they didn't know which red to order so I ended up with the edge red calipers J6N and the edge red engine cover
instead of the J6F caliper which would match your car. The bright red calipers match the dark grey wheel with the red stripe Q9A better than the dark red ones do.
I think that is what you are referring to.
