heater problem ?

Okay folks here we go , 1998 c5 corvette , has the independant controls for each pass. and pass side works as it is supposed to in all temp. but the drivers side only blows cold. did some background work and ended up buying a new unit for the dash , changed it out and alas no change so now have a spare for sale . if disconect the battery and let it sit for a while it will all work proper for a bite then goes funny again , tried the pulling of the fuse(cant remember which it was again)and it still didnt fix it , so what else is there to check/replace as the so called door will not allow hot air on the drivers side .

I would check for any codes starting with a B. Might be the driver's side temp door actuator motor.

Hi Powderextreme, did you ever find a fix for this issue? My 09 has something similar but it is on the passenger side and it only blows hot air. Pull the fuses and it is better for a while but the problem comes back.

Hi, there was the same ptoblem with a 99 vette here quite awhile ago. Manny said it is a vacuum hose. To replace it you have to take off the intake manifold and driver side fender to get at it. Emailing Manny would be getting a proper answer to the sure fix.
