Headlights flash when remote starting

My headlights will flash for half a second when I remote start the car. Is this normal?

Yes. It's supposed to acknowledge the start. The rear lights also blink. Just as they do when unlocking the car etc.

I am not talking about the turn signal flash but the actual LED headlight. That is supposed to flash as well?

I knew what you meant, but now that you slam it in my face I'm not sure.
I never look as I remote start from in the house. @DenisC8 will know as he uses it all the time.

It appears mine doesn't flash the headlights, though I was standing in a window today when I tried it. I was looking at the side of the car just slightly in front so I may not have been able to see if they did or not. It certainly does not when I unlock the car. Just the one led strip in front flashes.

I had a thought. When the headlights came on was it dark or dusk?

It was dark. Maybe they only flash when the automatic lights are supposed to be on due to low lighting situations?
