Headlight motor

Having trouble with new left headlight motor, 2003.

What kind of trouble? Doesn't open or close?

The original was replaced last year, it chattered for a few seconds then stopped, replace it with new one from Corvette Depot, Windsor, mechanic spent three hours then sent it back, Depot said it was manufacturers defect so received new one. New now doesn't open, manual open once then not again, thinking of duct taping it. Thanks for the get back. Help.

If you have someone inside the car turning the switch on can you hear anything from the assembly? These things are famous for stripping the gears that operate the mechanism. No noise, have a quick look at the fuses although you would think both would operate off the same circuit.
