The European styled Diesel engines are truly amazing when you consider what they can deliver. My wife drives a 2012 M class SUV with the diesel power train and for the fuel economy it provides the power output and performance in such a large vehicle. Highway performance is however exponentially superior to the American gas counterparts (as I'm sure you can see evidenced in the dash shot). That engine is probably rated for no more than 200hp but is still capable of propelling a fully loaded car to 140+ mph!
 
And you have the ECO light on!:D Those Germans are all about efficiency!:D

That Eco option is a P.I.A. The car shuts off every time you stop. As soon as you release the brakes the engine starts again, It took a few day to figure out that if you hit that green button it disables this function. i guess it'e for polution reasons, not really sure.
Very impressive car, for a people mover.:canada:
