Just had LG long tube headers installed to my nearly stock 2006 Z06.

Install and tune was done by Manny @ Dasilva Motorsports in Kitchener, Ontario. If you're even close to local, I highly recommend them - very patient with answering my questions and top notch workmanship!

Now onto the fun stuff.
Baseline results: 468whp and 405lb-ft. This is on a dynojet on a 30* C day near Toronto (too lazy to look up elevation!).

Car has 42,000km and has re-machined OEM heads with bronze valve guides, stainless valves and Brian Tooley double springs, a K&N intake and the OEM muffler mod. Very happy with the baseline whp!

After: 482whp and 458lb-ft.
The +50lb-ft is sweet but what's more important than the peak gain is the 'area under the curve' that comes from having a big gain over a longer rpm band.

Car runs great and sounds absolutely insane with the muffler mod and valves open. Super quiet when valves close thanks to the Mild 2 Wild (great cheap mod!).

I read mixed reviews on doing headers only (without a cam) but thanks to a local deal ($950 for fairly mint LG headers with catted xpipe and all accessories), I pulled the trigger and I'm glad I did!

Next up - DRM Bilsteins, which Randy says should be shipping shortly!

I would like to see a review of the DRM. I have read lots of threads about them. I went with the Bilstein HD's...handling wise, I have not noticed much over my stock Z51's, but they are way softer and just better feeling over all sorts of bumps and cracks. I may want more grip in the future, so a review would be great.

+1 for Manny, I ordered some parts from him over the winter and his customer service is outstanding! I had a couple issues with missing pieces (from the manufacturer, not Dasilva) and he was very quick to send the missing parts without putting up any fuss at all! I should also note that this was dealing between Alberta and Ontario and with shipping and Manny made it all happen smoothly.

Some companies just seem to have the whole "customer service" approach figured out. Manny, from my experience and evidently yours gets its. Good to hear.
