Wow as a father of 3 girls, I’m excited for you having your first child. It’s a life changing event that continues to impact you in so many ways (most of them good) even after your child(ren) turns 18 and leaves the nest. Congrats to you and all fathers or soon to be Dads.
I think Gilles' new child is his C8! Love it!

Thanks JoeyBats. I totally missed the boat on that one: I'm too focused on Father's Day and not paying enough attention to the Forum where it was posted! But since today is "my day" perhaps I'm entitled and will be forgiven.
At least you're focused on your family! I give you high Mark's for that. Happy Father's day to you and all you fathers out there waiting for your new 'baby'. I get to pick the family meal on this day, beef tenderloin on the grill with Cesar salad. Doesn't get any better than that dining alfresco.

Lobster, lobster and more lobster. One thing about the maritimes is that we have the best seafood in the world !
I'm so jealous, will need to fly some in to Ontario before summers over.

Lobster is the first thing I crave whenever I'm back home in NS. One is usually enough....for the first feed. Especially if it
covers two dinner plates...lol...

Good to hear from the consumer standpoint. Not so good for the lobster fisherman. Haven;t made it to NS yet this year (obviously) but that bad boy in the picture was $ 45.00 a couple years ago..lol...In comparison, in grammar school (a couple years ago..lol), the poor kids. me included, were recognized as the ones who had to take lobster sandwiches for lunch. My mom use to tell me stories about parties on the shores of Halifax harbour and her and her friends diving down, getting lobsters off the bottom and cooking them on the beach. Been a lot of years since anything in Halifax harbour has been clean enough to eat anything in it, let alone swim which is sad.

we use to go down to beach and gather snails and cook em in an old juice can on the beach. man, things have sure changed !
