So I went and made another order for more stuff.

Coming my way are some black-out side markers, and some braided brake-lines.

Now all I need are the calipers painted--as rotors and pads are sitting in the trunk, ready for install.

I know I know.......this thread is useless without pics..........I will do my best for before and after photos once completed--or at least after photos anyways........

Sounds like you've got some nice mods planned there Vince -- Can't wait to see the after pics. Keep us up on progress. Would like details of the caliper painting.

C.

Will do.

for only having this car for a year, I'm pretty proud of all the small (and large) improvements I've been able to make.

Trying to hold off on anything super-expensive, as I decide about a C7, or putting more money into the C6. With a crate motor and new suspension, who cares about mileage. I'll pretty much have a brand new car!

I digress though. the mods have been plentiful. This was the first vehicle I've modded anywhere near the amount that I have with my Vette. I do like it, and can think of so many other things I can do to personalize my vehicle. I'm wondering what other performance parts I could do for quick increases in power. Gears? Intake? clutch? Not sure where the bang for my buck is.

Check with Manny on the gears change -- I love a lower gear but pretty sure he mentioned it's a little expensive on the C6 ...... I'd love to go to a 3:42 over my stock 2:73 but the price was a little prohibitive.
Gas would suffer marginally due to increase in revs but not by much.....

An Intake will net you a good bang for the buck -- VaraRam SnakeCharmer will get you about 30 -- and I'd also consider a high stall converter, Vince.
Do you already have headers?

Keep us up on mods. Personally I'd wait for the second issue of the C7 but that's me......The originals would probably be just as good.

Colin.

So here's a few shots before the simple blackout install for my side-markers....

And after the blackout kit went on (about 10 minutes for the mod & probably a must on a black 'Vette......)

All said, this mod if for anyone really, but I think if your Vette is yellow, white, or black, these side-marker black-out kits might even look that much better--maybe throw silver in the mix as well. This was a nice touch--7.5/10. I think when the red calipers come on, it will look even sharper......

Vince; Looks good.

Your reference to a crate motor??? Did I miss something? You having engine problems?

She's looking pretty good!!!! Keep up the mods! I like what you've been doing with your car so far! The bang for the buck question is a good one. I would have to say nitrous would be number one but in reality I would go with the intake side as you've completed the exhaust.

Riley.

Intake is on the way...........was just in another thread. I just bought red brake calipers, and a Vararam off Manny this week!

Insert coolgleam smile here!!

ROCK AND ROLL! I LOVE my Vararam in take. As my car had one installed when I bought it I am looking forward to hearing if you notice a SOTP difference. I'll go tot the other thread to see the intake. Woooo!
