Just got a new Passat TDI.

I know nothing about Diesel engines other than they are really fun to mod. What are some cheap mod options for better acceleration? Since it's not my car, I'm not looking for expensive stuff. Any chips or other mods in the hundreds (as opposed to thousands) of dollars are welcome suggestions. Just trying to gauge my options.

Hopefully I can get some pictures up soon. It's quite a nice car. Wonderful legroom--even limo-like in the back. Also the trunk is ridiculous. My golf clubs not only fit in across, but also straight up and down. 4 of us will be headed to the mountains on a golf trip. That's some sweet cargo room! These are great, economical cars. Perhaps one of the nicest fleet cars a corporate bottom-feeder like myself could ask for. Would just like it a bit faster--and I wish I had the LED lights too.....

Was hoping there might be a few diesel heads in the crowd here! Guess not LOL

You can get some very decent gains from just tunes from what I've heard. With diesels it's more about adding fuel for power vs adding more air or cranking up boost. Air is used to control EGT temps and smoke. There are a few TDI specialists around TO (not sure where you're from).
