Our 3 drivers (separate vehicles) have a 3Gb shareable data plan per month on 3 phones.We all use CarPlay when driving for Maps (Music absorbs no data in our case).We never exceed our monthly use.Now if someone streams something when roaming ... that would be a quick demise for our data ...took only one time to learn from that ... so I do not find Maps eating significant data.As far a music hardware and connectivity resolves ...I think it would be an excellent new thread topic.There are so many options for it that and then avoidmaking a mess of this Maps discussionas soon I would anticipate a question for how one can connect a Tandy 8-Track Player.
