As easy as meeting up with my Wife and I and we can easily give you an over-view.
All you need is your phone and a USB wire long enough to connect inside your console box
between the seats (discovered it working best there).
She had CarPlay in her C7 well before I warmed up to it.
Then I noticed the Infotainment map compromises too and had to consider
the fact that she was never complaining about her map as much
as I was. So I invested the time to learn Car Play.
It works best when your phone is plugged in via USB (not wireless to the Corvette).
True, CarPlay is not perfect but I am at least not paying over $150 to get
the latest map information for Infotainment that is already a year obsolete
once installed.
As well ... I am pretty sure that Google maps gives me traffic info ...
which Onstar wants $15 per month for.
Also, I've seen the NavTool that @turbozig setup for his 2015 and
it looks like a sweet upgrade too. I know this 2014&15 upgrade would be much less
than adding Carbon Fibre to the Corvette.
