What are your opinions of the Car Covers that Gm Dealers sell. What is a good car cover that you use? Which car covers to avoid?
Thank you for your time.

Hey Bowling ....
If your car cover is only going to be used indoors ....
Get yourself a lite style cover that allows airflow ....
If your cover is for outside the get a moisture barrier that is heavy and 3 ply ....
Aftermarket covers range from cheap to major expensive ....
Was @ Carlisle and pick up an indoor unit for $ 100.00 ...
It is one of the newest style Elastic Stretch in tons os colours ....
Check Corvette Central - Mid america - Ecklers

That's a great price Bucks... Mine is a Sparco indoor cover from Cdn tire. these are a great cover if you're not looking for Stingray emblems or the super tight no wrinkle fit. Super soft inside against your car...comes with a bag and duffle to store when it's not in use..(which I never use as I have the cover on year round) .... nice fit, great reviews...etc. Mine is 4 years old (originally bought for my C6 but fits the C7 great too... I bought on sale for $ 130 but I see they have a clearance on right now for $99.00. Comes in 3 size ranges... Measure your car as I don't remember what size I bought... I think it was a medium.... Not the GM cover but not near the price either...

I had an indoor Covercraft cover for my Camaro and bought the same cover for the vette. I really like it as it is very well built and good quality material. All the stitching is on the outside and is high quality soft fleece so very little risk of a scratch in the paint from the cover. It comes with a zipped up duffel to store out of the dust when not on the car as well. It is in the category of expensive though for sure so depending upon how often you use it Eric's choice might be a better fit for you as there is certainly nothing wrong with it. I use mine quite a bit in my garage even in the summer to keep the dust off the car so I wanted a "better" quality one.

I needed one quick and didn't want to spend too much. I bought a Car & Driver branded one on Amazon for C$67. Fit is a bit tight but works well and also came with a lock so no one can easily steal or lift the cover while the car is stored for the winter.

Agreed Bucks. My man cave is pretty tight. Radiant heat instead of forced air so no outside fresh air returns, etc. but the freakin dust still seems to come from somewhere.... Not heavy but enough to PMO when I see it on the car...lol...

I first bought the oem for indoor/outdoor, it is like a wind breaker jacket, 100 nylon but no inner liner and I felt it was not to smooth for the paint so I bought a satin one, it is realy smooth. I use it all year long and when winter come, I put the outdoor one over the satin one so if I wash my wife's car in the garage, the satin doesn't get wet + it make a tick protection on the car

Rruff Day & Pep ....
Great inside look on your man caves ....
Nice to see you boys respect the two foot rule to ensure the safety of your toy ....

Had many 3rd Party loose-fit covers over the years. 84 Camaro, 89 Olds88, 98 GrandPrix and even for a Sierra. Always had to bungee under them. When outside, loose fit always became a sail when a big wind came up. Indoors never had a problem. Based on cost, I saved on hunting to cover my 16 Stingray by making the GM outdoor cover (for summer tree sap type issues) a part of my final word before obligating to the counter of my (too low) purchase offer. I will admit that I did not get the GM cover for free however blending it in a vehicle purchase with a compliment of 3M did work out surprising well. I have found my covered corvette gets more attention mainly due to curiosity of wondering what its color is - although inquiries only come in if the garage door is open. I am finding my GM cover is rather nice and light; looks awesome; has a storage bag; the wind does not grab it at all - no bungee needed unless I would need to lock the cover from somebody wanting it for themselves I guess. Oh I guess I should also add to say IT is awesome sweet and Long Beach Red ... (love all your photos) ... Cheers!

Wife came home last night from work, and security came to her office to report a Corvette Stalker kept getting into the garage. The red corvette beside ours, had finger prints all over it, and appeared that the woman ( the stalker) touched all over the car, and looks like she tried to get in the car. Thank goodness we have a locked cover!

Ours, looks like she tried to lift one corner, but it wasn't red and the cover won't come up too far due to the lock. One time when they ran her off she kept going on about the Red Corvette, so they think she may have some mental issues.

There are 3 being stored, not sure of the year or colour of the other one since it too is covered ( based on rough shape my guess is a C6 ). Security now has a standing order that no corvettes can leave the garage with out prior approval.
