Getting the car OUT

This weekend the weather is supposed to be sunny, hitting a high of 10c on Sunday :coolgleam: I am hoping to get the car out onto the driveway and give it a bit of a dust off from the winter storage.

I read an interesting post on the "other forum". Someone took their car out for a drive and was amazed at the amount of crap and dried salt that collected on the car's body and undercarriage. I am very tempted to pay one of the local kids to lick the road , I suspect I would hear "it's salty". No real need to do that as my eyes tell me there is a lot of salt down on our local roads.

Hopefully the rain they are calling for on Monday will be enough to clean the salt away.

Also on Saturday night most of us change to DST, it will be great having it still light at 7:30pm.

Not waiting for the 20th, Spring is here this weekend.

Absolutely, Wayne -- spring has sprung early (we hope) -- yes DST will be back and none too soon. Love the extra d/light after 6 and will be handy for doing more work on the cars in the early eve.

hmmmm, wonder what the kids would say if you asked them to lick the road.
I would think you'd be invited to 'go hither and multiply'.

I passed two Corvettes on the road here yesterday in the rain. Pushing it a little, but it is going to be 15c Sat. and Sun. Spring is getting closer and I'm looking forward to the extra daylight too! And yes, all the rain we get, has washed all the salt away, thankfully

I'm with ya on that .I was suppose to move the car to the center bay for a belly cleaning and oil change .It started snowing like a mother about an hour ago .:swear:

:agree: You guys are probably at least a month a head of us....enjoy. Our streets were just salted and sanded again this morning due to the 2" of snow we just got a couple of days ago which is now packed ice.
