Anyone have fuel tanks leaks? Bought a nice c6 and found strong odours above half full. Fearing it’s a seam leak ? Dealership can’t find the leak 1st try and no drips.

There was a GM special coverage on a fuel smell caused by a crack in the fitting above the Fuel pump above the tank itself. It is difficult to find, and may not actually leak fuel if the crack isn't significant. A smoke test may reveal the issue.
It is most prevalent in the 2008 models, for unknown reasons.
The special coverage was good for 10 years from date of service or 120,000 miles covering 2007-2013 Corvette and Caddilacs

Thanks, since my post I had the car back to GM and they confirmed the extended program as described. Looks like the problem. No odours under half so must be on the passenger tank. Thx for the reply
