My dealer, Applewood in Mississauga, supplied the aftermarket plate bracket no charge. And the locking lug nuts. I know that Owais will land somewhere soon, but kudo's to Richard Bandhu (sales) and Kevin Graca (Sales Mgr) who took great care of me every step of the way. Highly recommended!
Nice Ride Smack ....
The Aftermarket Plate Bracket Looks Great .....
Hard to tell exactly... but looks the same to me..... the original brackets were left in the hatch... and the dealer specifically pointed to the front plate and said we order those from the U.S. because the stock bracket for Ontario doesn't look great. Thanks for the info. Do you mean that your dealer installed the lower aero license plate bracket as shown in the photo in my original post?

Keith, this got me looking..... So it may be that the info I was given was not correct. Reading the traffic act it says :I was asking about height because we have one of those hide away brackets and it is on the lower bar. Quite low. No problems yet and this is the third summer.
All cars shipped to states that require front plates also have a plate frame that mounts higher on the bumper and does not block as much of the cooling flow. Because states have varying height-to-ground requirements the plate holder sits high on the front bumper to accommodate those laws. While fully legal and beneficial for cooling performance, it doesn't look very good and many customers have asked for a more integrated solution, hence the optional "show" position centered on the grille. Although intended as a "show" position, for 99% of street usage the cooling performance is fine.
