And wondered if any of the western folks had ever heard of the Drifters Car Club or Shepard Raceway in Calgary before? A couple of good looking cars.

Pretty cool picture. Unfortunately before my time. I do remember the old Edmonton Speedway however. It was featured in a movie also.
...The Draggins in Saskatoon was formed in 1957 also , there is a pic of them in their history book holding ice drags in 58-59 winter on the Hudson Bay slough north of the city,,,,,,, awesome.
Shepherd was/is a little hamlet SE of Calgary Murray. That’s going back aways I’ll tell ya. What would be a rare find would be pics of the old “Circle 8 speedway” which was up near where my folks live now. @SN-III might recall those 2 places.
