Jane and I have been talking about selling the no longer needed big house...Empty-nesters now. She asked me if I could find a couple of floor plans on the net for her to approve a new build for us........... Here is what I have recommended; she is not impressed; what do you all think ?

Of course you would want a large bay window from each of the rooms looking into the garage. Nothing like eating dinner will adoring your cars. :D I've always joke that the garage to house ratio should be about 60-40 or better. We have better than that ratio if I consider the 24X32 shed out back with the 16x32 lean to addition on the back of it. 80-20 is a ratio you should strive for. Of course there is the old Chinese proverb, "Given time, junk will accumulate to fill any given space."
I just showed Dale your floor plan and she thinks you might be sleeping in the small bedroom. Of course, it is closer to the bathroom so that wouldn't be all bad. If Mama isn't happy, no one is happy. Do you have a plan "B"? ;)

Floor plan looks great! Just need to play with the scale so the Master Bedroom isn't only 6 feet wide.

As shown in the beautiful garages article, who wouldn't want their cars in the middle of the living room? :D

Make sure to add an ensuite to the master bedroom and a hottub jacuzzi on the patio. Oh and yeah while B is where you'll be sleeping, my guess it would more likely be the dog house in the backyard.

But other than that, great plan. :coolgleam:

Brian, just a thought. If you put the door strait into the bathroom, then you could remove the wall and door to the hall. The way I see it, you could then have a built in work bench and room for a tool box along with all your collector cars. Save you going out on cold and snowy nights!

Hey Brian thats my new house. You stole that from my facebook page.
Thats OK though, I think we all deserve a home like that.
My modification are 4 lifts to double the parking spaces. one for Each generation of Vette including the new C7 and one spot for my wifes new VW.
Also adding a couple of urinals so you don't need to walk to far.
Were moving December 22 nd so I cant wait.:canada:
