The other day I was amazed to find how badly my front bumper had been scraped up by the previous owner. While not visible from any normal viewing angle it bugs me knowing it is there. I know I could get it professionally repainted but I am wondering if it would be a DIY project. Sand the bumper and paint it with a colour matched bumper paint....I assume a special paint would be necessary. Anyone else ever deal with this problem and could give more insight?

Cheers Kevin

When we bought our 2005, it only had 13,300 miles on it but a previous owner must have run it up onto a curb a lot scraping the plastic up. When a truck trailer hitch punched a hole in the front facia, I bought a new one from my GM dealer and had it painted and installed. I back into parking spots so the front should stay good. A suggestion....never park a little, low Corvette behind a tall, wide 4X4 truck. We were fortunate that there wasn't more damage. I still have the old silver facia if anyone wanted to fix it up and use it.
