Well, I knew this would happen sooner or later. I pulled into my parking spot at work, went a little too far forward and scratched my front spoiler on the curb. It's just the stock spoiler and I can probably buff out the scratch. Just glad it isn't the carbon fiber splitter.

Sooner or later it happens. Sorry that it happened sooner. It is a sick feeling when you hear the sound of pulling in a little too far.

If it were the Stage 2/3 factory splitter, that little touch would have pushed the center most left and right base screws up and through the finish....don't ask! Something that becomes very handy when parking though is the reverse cam!

Yes, the rear camera is a big help. Now if I could only get my depth perception to work properly I'd be ok.

Count yourself lucky, I broke a carbon fiber side skirt last month on my ZR1, my only luck in this adventure is that I didn't damage anything that would need to be repainted, I only have to cut the rivets and install the new part. Since I have the car I always said myself that I should replace the front splitte and the side skirts whit jobber parts to save the oem that are so expensive. I ordered a kit from C7 Carbon that include the front splitter, 2 Side skirts (1inch wider) the rear mud flap and the race diffuser, all in carbon fiber. Should arrive on June 25 at the border. Beleive me, when I eard the cracking noise, my wife, who was sitting next to me, didn't have to tell how stupid I was, I did it myself a million time before a word could go out of her mouth.
I've always backed into parking spots. On our car you can see where previous owners have run up onto curbs causing some curb rash. Backing in, with that short rear end, I am usually 2-3 feet away from curbs. I find it much easier when I screw up. I need only look in the mirror to yell at the guy. He does get a calling down from time to time.

Some light sanding with 600, then wet sand with 1000 and 2000 and all is good,

Expensive part to replace. The CF items are light and they look great .... but .... well you know the rest.
