Hi guys, Thank you for all your positive words. Some good news. Even though I haven't been getting any apologies the owner seems to be working with me to make sure my car is perfect. He's going to pay for the upholstery issue and is doing some extra stuff for me. Also where I joined the front bumper to the body, I really shouldn't have been lazy by using epoxy. I should have just fiberglassed it because the seam is showing through. He's working with me on that and he's going to fix it and respray the front end for $500 but that'll barely cover materials so for me it makes up for all the work I had to do. He's also going to fix the over spray in engine bay and underneath. So I'm definitely feeling a lot better about the paint and I'm happy now I had it done. On to the fun stuff. I'm about 95% done assembling the car. All the interior is in except for the lower dash pads, upper center console, and door panels. I also have to put the front head lights in but that's about it. When I assembled the car I decided to go with Metro weatherstripping from rock auto. In the past I have purchased import and USA weatherstripping from Corvette places and the quality sucked. I have to say this metro weatherstripping is some of the nicest weatherstripping I've ever seen. It's very solid stuff and they've fixed almost all of the issues I've had with other weatherstripping such as a thick vertical rear window seal which seals insanely well and is so thick it should cut down on a lot of noise. Not sponsored by them I just really liked the product and it's cheaper than the weatherstripping from the corvette stores. Now that the car was assembled I trailered it over to my buddies place on Monday and he fabricated a 2.5" stainless cut and weld exhaust system. We did an x pipe under the diff as I thought it was the most logical place for one. We also swapped to flow through Magnaflow mufflers on his recommendation. So excited to hear how it sounds! On Friday I trailed the car to the body shop to finish up everything on their end so that come spring I can have it trailer for a full 3M wrap. Should be in the body shop for about a week and then I'll be trailering it home for the winter.
