[QUOTE="Jr. Corvette, post: 256020, member: 1906"] Hi guys! Making some more progress on the car. Unfortunately it seems like every step I take forward I get pushed two steps back. I was putting on the driver's side wheel and of course had to clean over spray off the trailing arm and the frame needed to be painted. I then looked under my car and they had over sprayed the freshly painted frame in the rear, my brand new powder coated gas tank, and all of my suspension, half shafts, and diff, all of which were immaculate. Took me about 12 hours to clean everything and respray the entire rear frame.... A little later I looked under the front and they over sprayed the front suspension as well. Fortunately the front, while being powder coated, hadn't been cleaned in a while so it might not be so bad. I will leave that for a winter project. I also noticed they over sprayed my engine bay and particularly the area by the hood latches that I had just painted before it went to the body shop which I will have to masked off and resprayed. Lastly, before the car went to the body shop I removed almost all of the interior except the driver's side lower dash panel because it takes a bit of work to remove it. I thought I had given the body shop plenty of room with it but I guess not and they pulled on the dash to get more room and punctured the vinyl down the left side. I told the owner about this to which he had no response. No apology, no reparation, nothing. I got an estimate from my upholstery guy because I had it custom done about two years ago and it's going to be $600 and can't be done till late September or October which screws up me getting the car touched up or the exhaust done unless I temporarily install the steering wheel which I may have to do. Right now I regret ever having someone else paint my car. I'm sure I'll feel different once it's done. Full disclosure I paid almost $17k for this paint job, granted it is a Porsche color and there was a repaint of the body but still. I expected a lot better for this amount of money.
