    Favorite Location or Trip

rockitman, Dec 16, 2017 at 6:18 PM, General Vehicle Discussions
20161002_174728.jpg Our cars have been in storage for close to two months now, so maybe its time to reflect on last season or a favorite trip with your car.
Post a picture of the location and a brief description.
This was taken in October 2016 in St. George Utah. We have visited it many times and always enjoy the warmth and the many colors the city has to offer.

Low profile billet aluminum scissor jack

turbozig, Dec 14, 2017 at 9:54 PM, General Corvette Discussion
I have had several people very interested in the jack I purchased to keep in the trunk of my C7, so here are the details. It is an ultra low profile billet aluminum scissor jack custom made for California Car Cover. The jack comes with a nice storage bag, and is 13.5" x 5" x 1" when closed. You simply use a 7/16" socket and ratchet to raise it to a maximum height of 6.5". The price is $200 USD, so it works out to about $300ish CAD with shipping. Not a cheap jack, but the design and quality is first rate. With a 1" profile, it easily fits under the Corvette with a flat tire. The top saddle is also padded. You will need jacking pucks in your frame holes to use this, as you would any jack. I have the plastic snap in jack pucks which are a leave installed style, versus many people use the removable style. I keep a travel/detail/emergency bag in the trunk, which holds the jack, ratchet, socket, extension, 2 piece lugnut wrench, lugnut socket, Viar 12V compressor, emergency flashing...

very low profile jack tool for Xmas

Jeffer2013, Dec 13, 2017 at 4:15 PM, General Corvette Discussion
my so-called friend mr. Z has a low profile jack that looked really neat when he showed me a month or 2 ago,
memory being what it is, I forgot, perhaps he could post a pic of it as it was a neat tool to take with me for the meet in the middle cruise,
if one has the right tool for the job (or just has a good tool reguardless) you can make friends even with my lack of a personality

so let us have a pic and tell me who makes it so one can search the internet and ideas for other low profile jacks for changing tires when need be,
looked for a thread on a low profile jack with handle that one could use in their garage but this other small one might be good on the 4 post lift I have, the jack to fit in the middle with hydraulics on my lift is over 1100 bucks and is 2 hours away round trip so looking for other alternatives,

so 2 types up for discussion for Xmas (I got 1000 to spend and torque wrench is first this is second on my list)

    Abbotsford airshow August 10,11,12

    MikeysZ06, Dec 10, 2017, Alberta
If anyone has any interest in combining the Mission Old Time Drags the weekend before and the airshow, here’s all you need to know.

The “performers” section will be updated as they add flying acts. Next years show has the US Navy Blue Angels as well as the A-10 warthog doing a demo and not just on static display as previous years. The “Super Hornet” is pretty impressive too. As well as the CAF Snowbirds with an all new show.

Always been a great Saturday over the years. It’s very well organized. Traffic is easy in and easy out, every year. Various ticket options from general admission to the presidents club where you get fed both breakfast and a decent lunch. Myself,I’ve done the “flight club” the last 3 times I’ve gone. It’s pretty good, seats and tables on the showline. This year.they're planning some improvements.

Abbotsford Air Show – Abbotsford Air Show

Way early to be putting this out maybe but,it’s a boring Sunday.

    Window and regulator

    Darrellg1, Dec 10, 2017, C4 Forum
    Hi all,
My window motor in the passenger side has taken a dirt nap while the window is all the way to the bottom. I've read optimal position for window is half way up when removing the window, to work on motor/regulator assy.. Cant do it seeing the window wont go up...... Ive been thinking is it possible to take the whole regulator WITH window still attached?

    Any insight would be awesome
    Thanks

    RIP Bearly Flying

    Somebuddy, Dec 9, 2017, Off-Topic
So very sad to report that my good friend Don Peterson (Bearly Flying) passed away in his sleep this passed week. He was an active member on CCF and in our local corvette community. His passing comes as a shock as he was in good health. Don lived his life like he drove his vettes..............with a spirited heart.
    Rest In Peace my friend.
I'm short on words right now so please feel free to post pics or stories in his remembrance.
(hope this is in the appropriate section.)

    NAFTA

    max930, Dec 6, 2017, Off-Topic
Not the politics. My Ford dealer is selling 47 F150's per month and that's just my sales guy. My rural dealer sells more Fords then any west coast dealer, including California. End free trade, etc. Its Merica that loses not Us! Canada now has a similar agreement with the EU. If the USA ends free trade, we'll just go European cars and American vehicles will have a major loss of new car sales of about 40% that is currently exported into Canada per month from Merica......... Go ahead end NAFTA. Give me another reason to avoid Merica shopping wise.

    Thank You

    rockitman, Dec 3, 2017, Alberta
I just wanted to say Thank You to the group that made the Lake Louis and the Drumheller cruise a success.
It took planning from a few, plus a commitment from a great group of people to make it all worthwhile. These two cruises brought together a group of like minded people with a passion for cars and travel and ended up with friendships.
I look forward to more trips in 2018 and the continuance of cruising with our "Non Car Club Friends" (CCF)

2nd Annual Christmas Auction to Benefit CCF

    Black 03 Z06, Dec 1, 2017, Off-Topic
I am going to take a bit of a flyer on this one but we will see. I have a hard cover book published in 1982 called "Grand National Stock Car Racing..The Other Side of The Fence". I looked on Ebay and you can buy one for $3.87. The book contains some beautiful photography of racers and race cars.

What makes this one special is that it contains four autographs, three of which if you do not have them you will never get. The fourth is a highly unlikely one as well. So I am hoping the book with the autographs will have some value to those whose passion is NASCAR.

    The book was autographed by:

    The late Tim Richmond
    The late Buddy Baker
    The late Dale Earnhardt
    and Bobby Allison

So lets do a 12 Days of Christmas and whoever has the high bid by midnight on the forum clock on December 12, 2017 will be declared the winner. I will pay for the freight and hopefully have it to you before Christmas. Remember all the funds go to the Canadian Corvette Forum. I am not putting a minimum...

Anyone heard of Richmeier Trading Corporation

I saw a car for sale from Quebec and the car seller said the entire transaction is being handled by Richmeier Trading Corporation. The car is in their Quebec warehouse and they are a one stop shop for sellers as they do all the paperwork and ship the car to the buyer.

Has anyone hear of them? Or is this another scam?

Where to Purchase New Front Tires

    Greetings All
I'm in need of some new front tires for my 99FRC. I'm currently running
Toyo's 17”x 9.5” (+) 54mm 6.9” 265/40ZR-17. Living on Ontario just west of Ottawa, I'm looking for a supplier that has reasonable rates for tires and shipping. I'd like to stay in Canada/Ontario if possible.

    Any suggestions??
